Copycat IKEA Meatballs {21 Day Fix}
These Copycat IKEA Meatballs are perfect for a weeknight meal! We love them with egg noodles or mashed potatoes and a salad.

Meatballs
- 1 lb ground beef, ground turkey, or ground chicken
- ¼ cup whole wheat bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon allspice
- ¼ teaspoon salt and pepper
Gravy
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour or 1 for 1 gluten-free flour
- 2 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon coconut aminos or low sodium soy sauce
- ⅔ cup coconut cream or plain greek yogurt
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoons freshly grated nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt and pepper
Gravy
As the meatballs cook, melt butter in a skillet. Whisk in the flour to make a paste. Slowly whisk chicken broth and heat to bubbling. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.
Add cooked meatballs, spooning sauce over the tops. Simmer 10 minutes. Serve over whole-wheat egg noodles, brown rice, or mashed potatoes.
